New! Update on Nighttime Experiences: The new Rivers of Light show and Nighttime Magic at the Tree of Life were previously announced to have an opening date of April 22. Disney announced this week that the openings will not take place on that dates as scheduled. The Disney Parks Blog indicated they will share more information about timing on the Disney Parks Blog by mid- to late May.
New! Tiffins Menu Details Released: Tiffins, the newest restaurant in the Discovery Island area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, opens this summer, and the Disney chefs have been hard at work to create inventive dishes inspired by the world travels of the park’s creators. Starters include a Lobster-Popcorn Thai Curry Soup with Basil and Peanuts (Asia/Africa) to marinated grilled octopus (Europe). Sustainable seasonal fish crudo (South America) and a salad of roasted baby beets and goat cheese with walnut granola and a sun-dried cherry vinaigrette Discovery Island (North America) round out international creations. Entrées include Berber-Spiced Lamb Chop with Mustard Greens, Lentil Stew and Mint Chutney (Africa); Berkshire Pork Tenderloin with Huitlacoche Tamale, Hominy Succotash and Red Mole Sauce (South America); Miso-glazed Black Cod with Forbidden Rice in Steamed Bok Choy with Turmeric Sauce (Asia), and Grilled Head-on Shrimp with Tomatoes, Roasted Fennel, Olives and Sea Urchin Butter Sauce (Europe). For vegetarians, the Roasted Market Vegetable Curry with Quinoa, Zucchini and Lime Chutney brings a taste of Asia. Beverages include South American and South African wines, handcrafted cocktails and beers, non-alcoholic exotic-fruit- flavored lemonades, Asian and African premium loose-leaf teas and coffee beans from Columbia, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Tanzania.
Also at Tiffins, Nomad Lounge offers a half- dozen small bites such as a vegetarian summer roll, a seared Wagyu beef skewer, honey-glazed coriander-spiced pork ribs, Indian butter-chicken wings, seasonal fish balls with shishito peppers and house-made head cheese and chicken liver pate with chutney.
New! Sounds Like Summer Concert Series Announced: Daily concerts will take place at Epcot June 5 – July 23 with show times at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. Bands paying tribute to the music of Fleetwood Mac, Tina Turner and Bruce Springsteen are new in 2016. This year’s lineup includes:
- June 5-11: Don’t Look Back – A Tribute to Boston
- June 12-18: Hotel California – A Salute to the Eagles
- June 19-24: Rumours – A Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band
- June 25-July 1: Simply Tina – A Tribute to Tina Turner

Reminder! New Star Wars Entertainment New Open: Disney’s Hollywood Studios has unveiled even moreStar Wars-themed entertainment! April 4 brought the arrival of the new Star Wars live entertainment experience Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away (a stage show) and a menacing First Order stormtrooper procession lead by Captain Phasma. Later this summer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is launching a new nightly fireworks and projection show called Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular that will light up the sky withStar Wars-themed fireworks, lasers, light projections and other special effects combined with Star Wars-themed music and iconic characters and scenes from throughout the saga. The show will be punctuated with a tower of fire and spotlight beams, creating massive lightsabers in the sky. This new show will be the most elaborate fireworks display to take place in the history of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Magic Kingdom Park
New! Disney Early Morning Magic: The Disney Early Morning Magic package will allow a very limited number of guests to be among the first to enter Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy a hearty breakfast and experience a trio of favorite Fantasyland attractions. Breakfast at Pinocchio Village Haus will feature seasonal fruits, fresh-baked pastries, scrambled eggs, veggie frittatas, smoked bacon, pork and turkey sausages, waffles and much more. And during their special time in the park, Guests will also have quick access to Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Disney Early Morning Magic requires a separate ticket – $69 for adults and $59 for children ages 3-9 (plus tax) – in addition to your regular theme park admission. Disney Early Morning Magic will take place on select dates from 7:45-10 a.m., beginning April 26.
New! ‘Zootopia’ Characters Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps Debut at Magic Kingdom Park: The heroes from the ‘Zootopia’ film, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, are now in the “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!” Street Party at Magic Kingdom Park, daily.
Reminder! Temporary Changes to Parades and Shows: Due to construction work, some Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings will be impacted certain dates throughout February and March. The Main Street Trolley Show and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be adjusted April 4, 6, 10, 19 and 24. On these dates, the Trolley Show will use the Main Street fire truck and Move it! Shake it! Dance and Play it! will be presented at 12:30 and 3:40.
New! New Sense of Africa Tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: A new tour will soon be available — Sense of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This 3.5-hour-long breakfast and tour is designed to immerse guests in the richness, culture and history of this African-inspired resort and give a backstage peek at the care, feeding, well-being and social interactions of the resident animals. A typical tour begins with breakfast at Boma—Flavors of Africa, followed by encounters with animals such as okapi, giraffe, ostriches and red river hogs. Sense of Africa is a feast for all five senses. Sense of Africa is a real chance to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the magic. The experience will be offered on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, beginning April 9. Reservations are available starting April 5; call 407-WDW-TOUR (939-8687). The cost is $249, and staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is not required. Experiences may vary.

Add ‘Zootopia’ Character Pics To Your My Disney Experience Profile: New character avatar options from ‘Zootopia’ are now available for guests creating profiles in the My Disney Experience app or website. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde debuted as options on the movie’s opening day. Flash, the sloth, is now available too. Guests can select or change their profile character by visiting My Disney Experience app or website > Profile > About Me > Edit > Change Character > Done.
New! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney Springs Celebrates 10 Years: This month, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney Springs, the first of Disney’s enchanted beauty salons, celebrates 10 years. Three cast members who were part of the opening team – Ines Lucas, Marjorie Jeune and Rose Curry – continue transforming young children into princesses and princes on a daily basis. Each cast member remains as delighted as ever by how they are able to create happiness for families from all around the world. Reservations are recommended for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World Resort. Appointments can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-STYLE (407-939-7895).

Pick up some plant stained stationery from Boiled Books or watch the Fairy House Ladies build whimsical creations at Island Mercantile. Visit Mombasa Marketplace to find some of Jortra Boutique’s handmade jewelry, made with coffee beans, cantaloupe seeds, and orange peels or start growing your very own plumeria plant from Just Plumerias.
April 15 – 17: Join us as we welcome ACME Archives artist Rob Kaz who will be on hand for special appearances and signings of some of his latest Star Wars releases from 3 – 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m., each day at Art of Disney in Disney Springs Marketplace.
April 16: Meet artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith who will be on hand for a special appearance and signing of some of her newest releases, among other favorites, from 4 – 8 p.m. in WonderGround Gallery at Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Marketplace.
April 21 – 23: Stop in and check out the latest Yardley fragrance and beauty products and meet representative Isis Sio from noon – 7 p.m., each day at The Queen’s Table in the United Kingdom Pavilion at World Showcase.

New! Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary Merchandise Artwork Revealed: This October, Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate its 45th anniversary. Disney Parks Blog recently shared some of the artwork created to commemorate the anniversary. Here are just a few of the designs celebrating the 45th.
